Understanding Chiropractic and Headaches
Watch our comprehensive guide on how gentle chiropractic care can support your journey and overall wellness.
Chiropractic and Headaches
Headaches can be frustrating, especially when they keep coming back.
Some headaches may be connected to neck tension, posture strain, tight muscles, stress, or restricted joints in the neck and upper back.
This video explains how the neck, spine, muscles, posture, and nervous system may be connected to headache patterns.
At Goldsboro Spine Center, we often see patients who feel tension at the base of the skull, tightness across the shoulders, or headaches after sitting, driving, working, or looking down for long periods.
Chiropractic care does not cure every type of headache. It also does not replace medical care for severe, sudden, unusual, or worsening headaches.
However, when neck stiffness, poor posture, or muscle tension may be contributing to headache discomfort, chiropractic care may be a helpful option.
“I used to deal with frequent headaches from long hours at my desk, and nothing seemed to provide lasting relief. After starting chiropractic care, the tension in my neck improved and my headaches became much less frequent and less intense. This video explains exactly what I experienced and why it works.”

Frequently Asked Questions
We understand you may have questions. Here are answers to the most common concerns parents have about infant chiropractic care.
Chiropractic care may help when headaches are related to neck tension, posture strain, muscle tightness, or restricted spinal motion. It does not cure every type of headache. Severe, sudden, or unusual headaches should be evaluated by a medical provider.
Tension headaches may be related to stress, poor posture, tight neck muscles, jaw tension, eye strain, and restricted movement in the neck or upper back. A chiropractic evaluation may help identify whether spinal mobility or muscle tension is part of the problem.
Chiropractic care should be gentle and based on your comfort level, health history, and exam findings. Some patients feel mild soreness afterward, similar to starting a new exercise, but care should not feel forced or unsafe.
