Mechanism of Action

How It Works

Heat therapy, also known as thermotherapy, uses controlled warmth applied to the body (e.g., hot packs, heating pads, infrared heat) to increase blood flow and tissue elasticity. The heat causes vasodilation, which improves oxygen and nutrient delivery while helping remove metabolic waste. It also reduces muscle spindle activity, leading to muscle relaxation and decreased pain signals.
